If you were allowed into the sacred forest, you might come across a small hollow in a tree. These, when found in wild woods, should never be disturbed for these are a refuge for wandering gnomes. Pixies also use these little wooden dens for hiding, but gnomes will quickly take up residence for good if a hollow is on the property and is far enough away from human habitation.






Here is another such dwelling spot. Imagine these shy little men and women living out their lives within such quiet, dark little spaces. Of course they come out when work's to be done. Gnomes are nothing if not hard workers. But they'll spend that time of day when humans might be close, huddled in their dens and waiting for outsiders to leave the area. This hollow happens to be deep with the enchanted forest, hence it's location right beside a path. No one but the citizens of the Sorceress' woods uses this particular thoroughfare.
